Timeline
The Timeline is a web design element that presents a vertical timeline of events. Events fade into view one at a time as the user scrolls the web page.

June 9, 1945: Sparty
The iconic "Spartan" statue (better known as Sparty) was officially dedicated on campus.
July 1, 1955: University Status
The institution officially achieved university status, changing its name to Michigan State University of Agriculture and Applied Science.
January 1, 1964: Name Change
The school’s name was officially shortened to its present-day name: Michigan State University
Instructions for use
While editing a page:
- The Timeline requires an H2 heading appear above it to provide a title for the timeline. Add the heading and hit "Enter" to move to the next line.
- Click the "Insert Snippet" button in the editor toolbar.
- Select the Timeline snippet from the list.
- In the inserted table, enter the date of the event that occured in the "Date" column, the title of the event in the "Title of Event" column, and the coresponding information for that event in the "Event Details" column.
- If you wish to add or remove rows (i.e. add or remove timline events), click the table to select it. Use the table editing buttons that appear to add or remove rows
- Click the "Save" button.
